Why would a parent be against their child joining Facebook?

That is the same problem with most of my friends at school. Parents don't allow their child to join Facebook for many reasons. First is because of the obvious: stalkers. Anyone can easily pull up your profile information and track you down, with the help of your IP Address. This isn't safe and can cause A LOT of problems.
