If you are paying child support and win a large amount of money, does the state immediately reconfigure it?

If the state does then you'd only get/pay part of that money for one year at most. I would like to think if your wife won a cash prize then she would share a bit of it with her own kid.
If your child does not live with mom and you pay child support, then I hope you have a court order to pay the person who is caring for your child the child support you owe. As a matter of principle and the law, you and your wife are supposed to support your kid. It is not the legal job of anyone else nor the financial job either. I'd get those child support checks ordered by a judge to the people who are caring for your child. Ads |
