Well that depends. It was generally supposed to be for HS and College students to keep in touch but it's turning into another Myspace thing. I think if your mother monitors your sisters access of facebook and configures her profile then it's fine. Also the pictures she [your sister] puts up there should be checked. If you are in a certain network, then only people in that network can view your pictures depending on how you set your profile. If she goes to a certain school and has other friends that go to that school then they can friend request her and comment on her wall and pictures. people from other networks can only see her profile picture but can't view her profile without her accepting their friend request.
