Please, please, I am begging for help with this surface area problem! I am a very confused 9th grade student!?

Well the surface area is the area of all the faces added together.
This particular shape is a rectangular prism.
SO the surface area= area top rectangle X 2 +area side square x2 + area side rectangle x2
top rectnagle=b x a
= 56
square= a x c
= 28
side rectangle=b x c
= 98
surface area= area top rectangle X 2 +area side square x2 + area side rectangle x2
= (56 x 2) + (28 x 2) +(98 x 2)
= 364
