First off is there a court order for child support and is it being enforced by child support enforcement? If the answer is yes then make sure that they are not already witholding money from his disablity checks he may not realise that they are already doing it and those payments are the easiest for them to withold from. And if they are not then most states take payments in person but alot of them will not accept cash but will accept money orders. make sure to get a reciept of payment. good luck

additional info being on SSI does not mean that you no longer have a child to support. Yes if you are recieving SSI and only SSI you can request the order be ended but that hardly ever deals with any back support you may owe. Now on SSA if you inform the state that you are on SSA which in alot of cases they will find out before you can inform you which is why I would find out if they are already garnishing your disablitiy payments. They can only take a maxiumum amonount on a slidig scale like if you get 650 amonth they can only take about 50. Good luck
