Most guys are kinda lame (no offense, guys!) and they will not pick up on subtle hints that you're upset, especially if they don't feel they've done anything wrong. Your best bet is to be open and honest with him and say "I understand so and so is a good friend of yours but it kinda bothers me that you have a picture of her as your profile picture." It's possible that he didn't even realize that it would upset you. Or maybe he did and he's just a jerk. If that's the case, then move on. But it's probably just a misunderstanding that you can clear up with a little chat. Don't freak out, scream, throw things, or get all crazy. Just talk to him calmly about it so he'll understand.
