well, you dont have to add anyone on twitter to see thier tweets. its a little underhanded to go SEARCHING for that stuff, yes. but, so long as youve posted it, and in your privacy settings its public domain, its not illegal for them to see it
and if the post is in a negative light, it is either slander or defamation, and can be taken to court regarding whether it is or not, so they can actually SUE for that, so long as youve made it public
celebrities have had alot of troble with this by not watching what they post
