I would act like normal, YET still be there for her if she wants to talk. When I found out my uncle died about 10 days before I was supposed to see him (Lung Cancer...went waay before we thought he would), I didn't tell many people. Yea, I acted like a jerk, but still. When I did tell people and they were trying to get me to "pour my feelings", it annoyed me and made me more mad. Just don't joke around about those things, and try not to mention fathers/dads. I had health that day on tobacco and my friends were cracking jokes about it and lung cancer and I almost cried/punced someone. Hope I helped!
