How come it doesn't show what I become a fan of on ppl's newsfeeds?

The "Top news" feed only shows a selection of what your friends have been doing on Facebook. What you see is based on how much you interact with the person, among other factors (like picking a random selection of stuff). If you want to see EVERYTHING that your friends are doing on Facebook, then the "Most recent" feed is what you want.
I imagine that your fanning of something will appear on some people's news feeds, but not everyone's - your brothers and sisters are just some of the people who don't see it.
