Well, I believe each person has his/her own right to live a life according to his/her preferences. I don't believe in your impression that these people who don't have such accounts are afraid of what others would think of them.

Besides, if a person is really going to be realistic about this life, I believe that having an account on facebook or myspace is something that is not really necessary. I believe a person can live a happy life without these, for they are just illegitimate wants - not legitimate needs.
