In this situation it's best to think about this in terms of yourself and the kids. If she is an essential part of your kids life, and she loves them then I would try to give her another chance to work this out because it was obvious that the whole facebook thing was a misunderstanding. Make it clear to her what you want out of this marraige and ask her what she wants as well. I'm not sure what you mean about 'asking for permission' but if you mean that she is unresponsive then try to talk things out with her.
