ARE THERE ANY HIPPIES STILL OUT THERE? any hippies or baby boomers want to answer a few questions?

I'm a hippie born too late. My parents named me after John Lennonand my middle name is Luv, so I know what's up. lol

Yes, I do think things were better back then - Love, peace, and happiness, who wouldn't love that? Also, I love the fashions - flowers and bell bottoms, and my hair is naturally wavy and thick and frizzy, so it would've REALLY been in style back then. When I think of how it must've been in those times I think of the play "Hair" and the movie "Dazed and Confused". Everything was so much more care-free.

Back then people started having more free sex, but it was alot more moral then it is today. They seemed to have actually cared about each other and each other's feelings, it wasn't as nasty or degrading and you didn't have STD's like Herpes, Genital Warts and AIDS (yes, there were STDs but you could just take some penicillin for those kinds). I honestly think that society is horrible now and the end of the world is coming soon because God is fed-up with people abusing everything and having no morals. I still recylce, which many people don't now. I feel like now it's all about MEMEMEME and back then it was more about the community and loving your brother. They didn't care so much about their image and commercialism and the dog-eat-dog world of materialistic greed like now.

I have a myspace account to KIT with people because I've moved around a bit, but that's all. I don't do any of that other stuff and didn't even know how to work a computer til highschool (which is pretty late for my generation). I still don't even know how to plug in the DVD to the TV, use lots of computer programs etc, but I can do "manual things" like change a tire, fix a garage door, paint, spackle, etc.

Best bands - Lynyrd Skynyrd, Steve Miller Band, of course The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Greatful Dead (I've been to one of their concerts :-) ), Aerosmith, back then, not now, and many many more. Go classic rock!

Modern music goes along with modern society, corrupt and decrepid. Classic rock just puts me in such a good mood, like I just want to be at a park playing with my dog in the sunshine when I listen to it. :-)
However, I do like Rap, RnB, etc. I lvoe reggae too. I really like all kinds of styles and genres, but there's something about classic rock that just puts me in a really good mood. My friends call me a ghetto hippie. lol
