Why... Don't you think it's a bit egocentric and narcissistic to be trying to get attention..?

If you actually have some content to provide to the netizens of the internet (i.e. youtube channel, reddit poster, etc.), you can always direct them to your twitter.

Else, just start being nice to people on Twitter.

I still think this is a complete silly question and premise. Don't grow into the habit over obsessing over followers. It really is an unhealthy habit many people have adhered to recently.
