Is facebook mobile free and is receiving the notifications free too?

Fido (owned by Rogers) does work with Facebook mobile.

It's free to recieve messages.

Standard SMS texting rates apply for sending text messages to update your status/send a message/write on a wall etc.

Standard MMS rates apply when sending picture messages to facebook.

Facebook and Fido do not charge any "service fees" (ie. neither charge you to have Facebook Mobile, you only get charged the texting fees)
