How are Orthodox Jews different than Hasidic Jews?

In terms of belief, essentially nothing.
Primarily only in clothing, Hasidic Jews wear more outdated conservative clothing. For example, in the early 1900s virtually everyone would wear a hat, nowadays most people don't, they still do. They don't do it for a specific reason of belief, they just wear what their parents did and see no good reason to change fashions. Hasidic Jews are orthodox, but not all Orthodox Jews are Hasidic; it's more of a sectionalist term rather than based on many true differences. |
