If you really like to use it to keep in touch with friends, keep it.
But never, ever post personal details for the world to see! Everything you ever post online, including Facebook, and including restricted stuff, is permanently out there, and you'll have no control over it at all. Did you know that every photo you put on FB becomes their property, so they could give it to newspapers and stuff? My daughter is a professional actor, and used FB to stay in contact with acting professionals she's met, actors she's worked with, students she studied with, current friends and old friends. But she keeps it as private as possible, and very little information goes on it. Imagine that everything you add to FB became public and got printed - would you be okay with that? That's the way to think of it. Your choice! Ads |
