I would say that you set the notification on for your text mobile.. Text message notifications alerting you of new posts, friend requests or other events for Facebook are available to send directly to your mobile phone. Depending on your preference, you can also receive text messages when someone pokes you, confirms you as a friend or tags you in a post or picture. You can activate and deactivate the feature at anytime from within your Facebook account settings.

If you want to turn off the text feature, then follow the instructions below...

Disable Via Text
1
Select the option to compose a text message from your mobile phone.

2
Enter "32665" as the recipient. Type the word "Off" in the body of the text and send.

3
Await the receipt of a text message confirming that Facebook texts have been turned off.

Disable Via Your Account
1
Log in to your Facebook account.

2
Click the "Account" tab in the upper toolbar and select "Account Settings."

3
Select the "Mobile" option. Scroll down to "Texts Are:" and select "Off."
