Now that we are religiously less intelligent does our political morals suffer?

Morality existed long before any particular faith - the idea that if we stop believing in God we'll all become murderers and rapists is nonsense. After all, look at how many people who profess to be religious go on to commit horrible crimes. We have morals and abide by the rules because that's what we need to do to successfully live in any community - whether we spend Sunday in Church or on Twitter, that won't change.
