How did a random person in a chatroom find all that information about Amanda Todd?

she said that she didn't know how he found her on facebook. to be honest, her chat name probably gave it away, even if it had nothing to do with her a name, a simple google search of the screename would probably do the trick. Some hackers can even track the IP addresses of the computer. then, they see what name the internet is under & its all downhill from there.

google "spokeo" and then click on the link. thats a search engine that can track you and anyone else. type in your name, and your relatives, your address, your facebook, myspace accounts etc. will be posted.

that person though found all of her friends online & made a fake facebook page.

words from her mother: “The Internet stalker she flashed kept stalking her. Every time she moved schools he would go undercover and become a Facebook friend. What the guy did was he went online to the kids who went to (the new school) and said that he was going to be a new student — that he was starting school the following week and that he wanted some friends and could they friend him on Facebook. He eventually gathered people’s names and sent Amanda’s video to her new school.”
