Put your pointer over Settings on top right hand side (next to Logout) it will give you the option Account Settings, Privacy Settings and Application Settings. All three give you the option to edit your account to your liking, you even have the option of allowing and blocking people.

You also have the option of allowing your activity being posted or not posted on your friends wall.
