How come women can't just be like men and want sex for every occasion?

Well, evolutionarily speaking, it is due to the fact that women had a finite capacity for procreating, and thus will be inclined to pick times when they are the most likely to conceive to engage in sex, while men are always capable of reproducing, and thus are usually at about the same level in their sex drive day to day. Women shift wildly in their desire for sex based on their ovulation cycle, as well as current health.
Which brings me to point two: Women seem to get so much more stressed out about things than men. Especially women with at least one child. Typically, if the child has all its pieces intact and is not currently trying to do something about that, men will sit back and accept that the child is fine. Women, I notice, tend to concern themselves with whether the child will be happy and safe tomorrow, or the next day, or find themselves envisioning terrible things that might occur, and seem to generally be more stressed out, which is bad for procreation, so her body lowers her sex drive until she's in a better position to conceive. This is of course in general, and not easily applied to all situations. |
