Can anyone suggest an object which could represent a portrait of someone? One example is a cigarette butt.?
It needs to be an object regularly used by many people and small enough to photograph with ease. Some examples that come to mind are toothbrushes and wedding rings.

It is for a documentary photographic series and will lead on from this series about cigarettes -
