"But" killed the "I want to forgive" thingy. I do not believe you want to forgive. You should take this straight to God and pray for the power to forgive. Forgiveness means foregoing vengeance and leaving it to the Lord. Vengeance has its root in pride, which is what brought the devil down, remember?
