I would explain to them in a kind way that you feel you don't need it. I.E., you already have the macbook and iphone that has the same capabilities as that does. That it costs too much and feel that's too much for them to spend on you. That you REALLY wanted.. a new tv (or whatever you can use more) and feel that would be more useful to you. Just tell them kindly so they aren't disappointed or hurt.
