The crowd throws things at the performing band (usually including beer bottles)
It doesn't necessarily mean the band is bad, just that the audience thinks it is.
I think it happens when a band is placed in a lineup of other bands that are a different genre. Like when My Chem was bottled, they had been put in with much heavier bands that were nothing like them.
I think its extremely rude of crowds and that everyone should respect different music!
