1) Can become a source of bullying.
2) Can be a huge distraction to school kids and adults when doing work on the computer they may constantly feel the need to check the social website.
3) You can get into trouble with police and school for expressing certain views on a website e.g. Racist comments.
4) Its easier to vent frustration when typing so arguments and dissagreements may get out of hand, with hurtful or threatening comments that the individual wouldn't normally say in a face to face conflict.
5) Can attract stalkers creating bogus accounts and adding you as a friend and then viewing all your personal pictures & information, or repeatedly messaging you from different accounts each time you block them.
6) Identity fraud can occur, if someone knows your personal information or is a friend they can steal your photos and create another account pretending to be you.
7) Photos may be obtained and used against you, e.g. A picture of a teenager smoking at a party could be shown to a parent.
8) Can attract paedophiles who target an specific age group of girls/boys from a specific school or area and "groom" them online. Pictures of girls on holiday in bikinis or photos of young children could be viewed and downloaded by paedophiles.
