That's pretty bad, but it tells you lots about the guy, and how fortunate you are not to have him in your life anymore.

This guy is one of those, who just needs a "girlfriend"--- and he will find one, if he's even a bit attractive. But staying power for the relationships, and his possibilities for being faithful are limited.

This guy is not someone you could trust to build your life together with. Poor new girlfriend, who doesn't want to see that.

You now have new possibilities (not now now, but later) because you committed and you had true feelings for the guy. You can have healthy relationships (and the grieving that follows if they go wrong), whereas he's just running around trying to escape his feelings.
