how do you send a direct mesage on twitter!?

On the right hand side is the box that says "Direct Messages" and has the number you have received. Click on that and at the top of the page is a dialog box. It has a blank bar at the top with an arrow. Click on that and you will get a menu of all your contacts. Select the one you want, type in a message and hit send.
