What do you think will happen to the following wrestlers if they admit these things?

1. It wouldn't affect Hogan's popularity, power, or credibility. A lot of people who saw WCW in the mid to late 90's, and the Monday Night War, already believe that. Hogan's reputation as a backstage politician, prima donna, and manipulator is second to none. Most people would just nod their heads and say, "ha! I knew it!". Possibility of being true: 25%. Hogan's time in the WWE was pretty much over; he'd passed the torch and the WWE was going with younger stars. He didn't gain anything from the WWE that we saw, no WWE championships or major pushes; just a match now and then. BUT, he could have received a LOT of money from Vince that we don't know about for sabotaging WCW.

2. Probably most of the younger CM Punk fans would be disappointed but I doubt adults would be. Adults don't have many illusions about pro wrestlers and they know pretty much everything they see is a gimmick or a storyline. Punk admitting to doing drugs wouldn't damage Punk much at all. Possibility of being true: 0%. Punk has claimed being "straight edge" his entire career and has used that in storylines in every promotion he's ever been in. That being just a gimmick is too much work for even a pro wrestler.

3. Two separate things here. Cheating with Mickie James is very believable. Both are attractive people, traveling together in the same company, endless opportunities for them to "hook up". I'd be more surprised to find out they'd never done anything together. Possibility of being true: 75%. Cena IS a good human being but he IS a man and Mickie is gorgeous. Cena getting Dykstra fired is far-fetched. Cena is the biggest star in the wrestling business and Dykstra was just a mid-carder, nothing to Cena and no threat whatsoever to Cena or to Cena's spot. Possibility of being true: 10%. Cena doesn't have that kind of vindictive reputation, but we don't know everything that goes on backstage despite how much we think we do. "Hooking up" with Mickie wouldn't damage Cena; the belief is they all do that (screw everything that moves). Getting Dykstra fired would hurt Cena's stellar reputation as a fair and honorable man.

4. This one is very believable. After Hogan "retired" the first time and WCW was going through some very tough times trying to find somebody competent to run the company the business was in a very definite slump. ECW was changing the business but it was too small to do that by itself. Bischoff could very well have pitched that storyline idea to Vince: "hey, let's copy what ECW is doing and make it look like we're trying to run each other out of business; man, that's GREAT TV!" Bischoff became famous and Vince made LOTS of money. Possibility of being true: 50%. That wouldn't hurt anything if it was true. Fans would probably be very impressed that such a large-scale storyline could be pulled off so well given the amount of people involved. If that storyline is true then the WWE winning in the end is a given; Vince would never agree to lose.

5. This one is hard to figure. Taker is one of the most popular wrestlers in history but his real-life is so guarded we really don't know what he's like off the job and out of character. He COULD be a devil-worshiping Nazi Voodoo witch doctor for all we know. But I seriously doubt it. His name has never been connected to anything like that. I believe it's 100% gimmick. Possibility of being true: 0%. Because he has so many young fans, if it was true it would damage his reputation and popularity, and even adults wouldn't hold him in such high esteem as they do now.

6. A lot of people believe it WAS an angle, that Bret cooked it up as a scheme to get a bigger contract with WCW or that Vince did as a way to introduce the Mr McMahon heel gimmick. But Bret didn't get anything out of it. Yeah, a lot of money from WCW but his time in WCW was the lowest point in his career; he went to a company he did not like that was doing storylines he didn't want to do, and WCW never "used him correctly". Bret has spent too many years and too much effort complaining about it for it be just an angle. So have a lot of other people. Possibility of being true: 0%. If it turns out that it WAS just a storyline, I don't think many people would care anymore. That happened some 15 years ago. Most people would probably just shrug and say, "cool storyline".
