She had to be proven guilty of first-degree murder, beyond a reasonable doubt. She might be guilty of killing her child at another threshold (2nd or 3rd degree murder, or manslaughter), but that wasn't what she was being tried for.

Your comment about the women on Facebook is false. Claiming that you never followed the trial, and was able to ascertain the views of all women is absurd.
