I agree with you violence isn't the answer, but unfortunately these days most parents today were raised without structure morals and the right way to discipline a child, more parenting classes should be offered for those parents as well as anger management. If this child/teen is going through something (If the dad is abusive) authorities can and should be called by the girl or by a relative or friend of hers.
