Blogging is a bit of a crap shoot. Can you make money at it? Yes. There are a bunch of web sites out there where you could do so. Some pay more than others. However, the problem is not that you can't blog, but that you might not get people to read what you write. If your blog becomes very popular, you can sell advertising from it, which is probably how some people make most of their money. However, getting to that stage takes time, persistence, and usually many false starts, and a good bit of luck thrown in. Do people do it? Sure, but most don't make a full time job of it. Generally, it doesn't pay enough money for that.
