Oh my, we must have hit the technological singularity if a password is talking to you. I know we expected to see some abstract changes but wow.... haha only kidding.
Sorry to hear someone hacked into your account. I didn't know you could change your actual login user name!! In fact, I'm sure you can't. I know you can change your SCREEN user name which is totally different as it only shows on your profile but your actual login user name is always the same. At least this is what I've always thought. Have another look to double check this. But I'll say sorry now just incase I'm wrong. So long as you change your password to something secure with numbers, symbols and letters and keep it different to all your other passwords, your account will stay perfectly safe. If your one of the many people who mistakenly use the same password for multiple websites your bound to get your accounts hacked into because all you have to do is subscribe to one rogue site and they will suddenly have access to all of your social profiles. If you did use the same password across various sites, you should now go and check every other website you have a login account with because it's very likely you've had other accounts hacked too. One last thing, find yourself a good safe password tool/plugin or app because these will generate a unique password for every site you visit and automatically log you in without having to remember 20 different combinations. I'm not going to recommend any specific one because I'm just about to start researching for one myself but make sure you only use reputable software. Hope this helps. |
