Upon signing up, start following many people in Twitter. It is the belief that about 50% of your Twitter followers are from those that you follow. Try to maximize following people. These users will also follow you if you have valuable information to tweet regularly. You have to choose the people to follow based on what you need for your business or product. For example, if your product or business is meant for moms, your selection of followers should be moms, women and wives. Get a list of women, moms and wives and follow them. You are restricted up to 2000 followers only so, if you have 2,000 you will have 1,000 in your hand.

With you having followers, you should tweet regularly. At least do 25 direct replies daily. These should be friendly, positive, sociable and having information that will be of value to your followers. Just Re-Tweet information received that you consider valuable when you are unsure what to tweet. Avoid sending content with out any value for Twitter may treat you as spammer thereby removing you from the list.

Make sure to tweet good content always. It never ceases to impress the audience, your followers and Twitter too. Avoid frequent posting of replies to one person with invaluable content. This might lead to irritation and to discontinue following you.
