What are some good ways to advertise a website on Internet?

Suggestions:

1) Join a Blog and reference or source your website.
2) Add your website to Local Directories at Yahoo!, Google, MSN (like Yellowpages).
3) Add your website to Online Directories. GLP Web Services offers a Website Marketing plan - Traffic Blazer (that you can manage) for only $25 for a year (basic plan). This can help you get a lot of exposure at a LOW cost.

NOTE: Whether you spend $25 for a year or $100 per month, improving your Website ranking takes time. Anyone that says overnight success, is full of it.
