Try twitter.com or formspring.me, they're a bit like Facebook and MySpace. If you're looking for another social networking site, I don't know if I can help you there, but here are some sites to avoid:

Orkut.com (none of your friends have it, full of trolls, nothing to do, easy to get hacked, staff deletes accounts for no reason)
Bebo.com (most of your friends don't have it, full of trolls, easy to get hacked, staff doesn't care)
Friendster.com (none of your friends have it, total ghost town, pedos and pornstars around every corner)
