Well it depends, maybe some friends of your saw you have a twitter account and followed you.

If you want more ask more friends with twitter to follow you and you can follow them back. I also suggest real twitter exchange websites, they can help you a lot and you can earn good amounts of followers in a even exchange, which is a lot better then following hundreds of people at random in the hope some will follow back.
