How to get to know someone on twitter?

Well first you both have to be following one another to be able to send a DM which is private, rather than a Tweet anyone can see, Then send them a friendly hello, and see where it goes from there. Or you can reply to their tweets with your own comments like if you agree, or something funny. Then if they seem responsive go to a DM and maybe it will help transition into more talking. Then, who knows!! You could be Texting or Skyping in no time!! ^_^ Just depends on them really. Some people want to get to know people via internet. Some don't.
