Hi
I don't think there are many add ons to mark where you left off on Twitter. One way I like to organize my tweets are via lists. You can make as many as you want and make them private or public. Make topics like Real friends, Friends on Twitter, News, basically anything. This can be a way to make sure youre keeping up with the most important tweets. I know it doesn't help you keep time but maybe you can even Tweet when you're signing off and you can look at tweets around that time as well?
