I think it is great you are thinking like that, looking for ways to profit, and asking questions.

But I agree it not a good idea. Often you don't really know how much money a company made on a holiday until weeks or a month later, or the end of the quarter.

Even if they think they had great sales you likely won't see a bump. Their costs might have been high or other factors, like a weak or strong dollar changed the numbers. A weaker dollar might increase profits from exports but also increase costs from imports, like buying raw cocoa.

Ideas for trading on a seasonal or holiday basis is difficult because it is same every year so it is already known and factored in.

But don't stop thinking.
