Aah, why he side swipe at "the american way"?
There is another person who kept a world title for about 8 years at least. I give you ChuangTseTung alias ZongZeDong. He beat LiFuJung in three successive world table tennis finals. In those days, the champion played only the challenge round. Of course ChuangTseTung was also the sports minster of China and so Mao thought mandated that LiFuJung who later became a successful coach of the new post liberal Chinese team should throw the challenge round.
