what are some good fundraising ideas?

I'm a part of a College organization called Organization of Black Unity and we are having trouble coming up with fund-raising ideas to get money so we can expand our organization on campus. We are really having trouble getting people involved and interested in us because it has failed so many times before. Does anybody have any suggestions?? Thank you for all of your help =)
Personally, I think the name of the organization should be changed to Organization of STUDENT Unity but the board doesn't agree. However, we are open to all ethnicities and all cultures, but I think a part of our failure comes from our name
