How to get followers on twitter?

Man i have the same problem :/ ive had it for like a year and only have 8 followers. But i noticed that, in your bio thing, if you have like a certain interest in something and post things about it, You'll get followers. For example, Ive been wanting to get into producing music, and i wrote that about me in my bio, and get a bunch of producer follower requests. But unfortunately since im a noob at all this, they unfollow me right away :/
