What happened to the " Freecreditreport.com band"?

The lead singer is an actor named Eric Violette, He's lip-synching in the commercials to "Dave Mulhefeld, the songwriting phenom behind the über jingles and senior copy writer at The Martin Agency, the other band members are also actors.
