How long can a person abstane from meat without it making them sick?

A large portion of the gagging when eating meat thing is psychological. If you stopped eating meat because it grossed you out it's obviously going to continue to gross you out when you put it in your mouth. I went 8 years without eating it and then ate it without any ill effect. I still go months or years without meat and never get physically ill from it. I'll shudder sometimes if I think about what I'm eating, but that's different.

One time they put bacon in the pasta sauce for the vegetarian option at the meal hall at my university (go figure). None of my friends got ill until after the information got out.

Soy and dairy are pretty hard to digest. If you can keep them down then meat won't hurt you.
