How to get more views on my youtube video?

Here are some ways to gain popularity on YouTube:

1. Add an interesting title and thumbnail.
If people read your videos name and look at the thumbnail it should be pleasing to look at and interest them

2. Have a simple Username.
If you have a simple username then it will be easy for people to remember your username when they want to search a video from you.

3. Add LOTS of tags.
Adding lots of tags will result in your video popping up in the related videos section everywhere, that way people can find your videos faster. Please refrain from adding irrelevant tags, that means your tags should be related to your video. If they are not, then you will probably be reported.

4. Make videos that people want to watch.
If you make videos people want to watch and are appealing to them, you'll get many viewers and subscribers

5. BE PART OF SOCIAL MEDIA!
One of the most key things into being popular on YouTube is getting into social media. Some top social media websites include: Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Google Plus, MySpace (I know it's old, but you never know if you can get fans through that site!), Deviantart, Newgrounds, etc. If you want to get SUPER-DUPER famous on YouTube like Smosh, Tomska, VSauce, etc. you can always try making accounts on all of the websites I have listed earlier and post/share your videos on those sites too! There are also many other websites out there on the Internet, but I can't name them all sadly Sad. And I just realized I'm even sharing myself through Yahoo Answers Big Grin!

6. Don't make a rip-off video.
If you make a rip-off video (a video that is basically a video with no originality and is directly copied by the original source which is not yours) or impersonate someone you are not, people will immediately dislike you, spam you, and report you. I know this because some guy on YouTube who said he was Eddsworld (pretended he was Edd Gould) and uploaded a fake eddsworld space face part 2. We all got angry at him and reported him.

7. The video quality must be good
If you want people to sit-back and watch your videos with ease without squinting their eyes, it is always, ALWAYS, essential to have video quality. Good video quality is not blurry, pixelated, hard to see, etc. It must always be clear and you wouldn't need to squint so hard to see it.

I hope my ideas work, I've only tried a few of these tricks, but I've researched many of this before and know many famous YouTube stars who have used these methods before. ENJOY!
