How to achieve the Emma Stone ginger hair colour?

I'm going to the hairdressers tomorrow to get some highlights. And I want to achieve this colour hair.. http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?num=10&um...,s:0,i:103

Would I have to ask for thicker highlights? (bleached highlights) And to put that sort of colour over or should I wait til next time when I get highlights?

I'm getting highlights to make it look more natural!
Also, my current hair colour is not natural, my natural hair is a lot lighter.
Also, I've been red before and many people say I suit it better than dark hair
