I started a blog reviewing aquariums. How do I spread the word to start getting viewers?

You absolutely have to start making videos. Do video reviews and other tips about aquariums that you can help people with. Hardly anyone is using video and if they are they aren't doing it right. You can do videos with an iphone, webcam, or a cheap camera and "Windows Live Movie Maker." You don't need fancy equipment. You can also use screen capture software if your camera shy, like "Jing." Also do a search for free screen capture software.

Also sign up to a couple of forums about aquariums or fish. Just to a Google search for them with "forum" as part of the search. At forums you have a space at the bottom of your post just like here on answers where you can leave your information and a link back to your blog. It's a great chance to help someone who has a question. I have had great results by using forums.

There are more, but that's enough to get you rolling. Check out my blog when you need some more ideas.

Also don't feel silly about writing posts, because one day someone will be reading them and putting valuable content on your blog is the best thing you can do to get traffic, especially since the Google updates.
