Lots of people make money off of their art on Zazzle. Many more make a pittance, so you're smart to consider what you're doing beforehand. You need decent products in sufficient quantity as mentioned above. The real challenge is marketing: tagging your products and promoting them via social media and other routes. I'd recommend your own website or a WordPress.ORG site. You cannot use WordPress.COM for affiliate sites, which is what your Zazzle store would be.
