Do mass murderers such as the "Batman Shooter" & recent shooter do it because they hate people?

Mostly, they hate themselves. They cannot love anyone else. These are twisted people.

Mass murderers kill for many reasons; power, money, revenge, obsessive taste for it, etc.

There have been at least 61 mass murders in the USA since 1982; defined as killing four or more people, typically in a single location, and in peaceful settings.

Lanza shot his mother 4 times in the head while she was in bed; all his victims were shot multiple times. He was an isolated, home-schooled, very intelligent, affluent youth who had very little facebook/twitter or text message activity. And no work history. Ironically, Lanza's mother was a gun enthusiast who taught him to shoot at a local shooting range.

He was home schooled because his mother had disputes with the local school district; CBS News reports that Lanza did attend Sandy Hook elementary school at one time. CBS reports that police found two smashed computers in his home.
